  • Hi Andrea,

I didn't know about the breast cancer until just this moment on the JOMB site. Wow. What a shock. I'll be thinking good thoughts and praying and all that stuff. My cousin Margaret had a lump removed in November. They thought they'd got it all. They didn't. She had to go in to have all over her lymph nodes removed December 23rd. We just found out two days ago that they got it all. YAY! She's gonna have chemo as well. Take good care of yourselves. Love Cathi

  • Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers, Cathi. I do hope your cousin Margaret's recovery is swift, smooth, complete and permanent.

Wishing you all the best in 2010,

    Hi Andrea

I just finished watching your haircut video–your family will never cease to amaze me–your courage, your srtength, your love for life and for each other. Know that there are a few friends down the street at the 1st Avenue K/Sa program who have their daily break between 1:15p.m. and 3:30p.m. and who can be there in a couple of minutes for whatever you might need.

    thinking of you,

    Hi Andrea

I just finished watching the video and wanted to tell you how much I admire and respect you and your family–the strength and courage that you have is amazing; as is the love that you have for each other and for what truly matters in life.

Know that there are a couple of friends down the road at the 1st Avenue Program who have their break at 1:15p.m. daily–for whatever you might want/need–please call for anything! We give great hugs–at least this is what we've been told.

    with love,
    xox athina

Andrea, My name is Leona. I found Just One More Book Podcast last month. I went to the beginning and have listened to about 32 of the episodes. I wanted to drop you a line to say how inspiring your work has been to me. I worked with Scholastic Book Fairs for 7 years and am now a stay at home mom of a 2 year old. I have a passion for children books and am always looking for titles to recommend and read. Your website and resources are such a wonderful contribution to the parents, educators, and book lovers. You and Mark have truly touched me and my life. Sharing stories with people, including your own, is a brave and beautiful thing. Hope you get well soon. Leona Svetlik Austin, TX
