Lucy begged for a dog, almost daily, for 6 years.
Little did we know when we finally broke down and found Phaedra, in February 2009, that the favour we were doing would most benefit me.

I was wondering of course re prophylatic, got the link. Very nice picture, adorable puppy, also wondering who picked out the name.
That “prophylactic dog” quote is just so hilarious to me. And, she's actually *preventing* depression and loneliness, so it fits.
Luckily, she came with the name and spared us huge squabbles.
I can feel the relaxation just looking at her. And a great name too!
