We Can Rebuild Her
Better than she was before… Better, Stronger, Happier. A Breast Cancer Journal

T Minus Six Days and Counting

It’s Day 15 of my final round of chemo and my discernible symptoms are down to just stinging, watering, unable-to-hold-focus eyes and the unexplained patches under each.

Six more days ’til I’m out and about.

Andrea Ross was diagnosed with breast cancer October 6, 2009 and intends to survive and thrive. You can read more from Andrea here.

OHHH ANDREA you poor sweet girl, your eyes look so painful! Know that you are in my prayers and thoughts every day … all the time… YOU WILL BE WELL AND YOU ARE CANCER FREE! I love you lots, cousin Kelly xoxoxoxo

Thanks, Kelly. This is actually a photo of my eyes on the mend. Today was the first day my eyes showed signs of improvement. Up until today, I had been concerned that it was a permanent condition. So, I am very happy!

Thank you for all your support. Looking forward to celebrating with you soon!!

    W00T!
    (that is all)
    (that is enough)
    LOL

Yay! Your eyes are still beautiful and will be completely healed soon. What is your “bucket list” of outings once you are out of your cocoon?

  • Caroline

Oh, and I discovered (through a friend) another excellent book that you should try — Healing with Whole Foods. It is quite the tome but worth the effort.

YAY Andrea! Although sore eyes is horrible I suppose after all you've been through, it's almost a walk in the park. Hang in there Andrea!!

    Thanks, Betti. Exactly. I'm thrilled!

Thanks, Caroline. My eyes have been improving again today!
    My “bucket list”?

Tomorrow I'm sneaking out to Kardish, for sure, to stock up on 20% off supplements. This is actually quite exciting for me, believe it or not.

And in the few weeks or so I have planned:
    - celebratory delicious dinner out with Mark's parents, Rhoda and Bert
    - celebratory delicious dinner out with Jay
    - celebratory delicious dinner out with the Girls Night Out gang
    - celebratory weekend with my cousin Kelly and her family
    - our meditation workshop day
    - various stacked up sleepovers and playdates for Lucy and Bayla's friends
    - Mark's 40th Birthday Bash in May
    - and tonnes of fun at PAB2010 in June (I'm even braving a 5 minute speaking session to test out the new-me!!)

And you and I need to do a delicious double celebration asap too!

Lots and lots of great, healthy times ahead….
