We Can Rebuild Her
Better than she was before… Better, Stronger, Happier. A Breast Cancer Journal

How Much Could a Banana Cost? $10?

Since early December, meal planning has been a mix of Broken Telephone and Pin The Tail On The Donkey.

Mark without the inside scoop on pantry inventory, ingredient subtleties and brand preferences. Me without SMS or cell phone access.

That changed yesterday. I shopped, myself.

Vegetable selection was thrilling.

Chance encounters with neighbours, refreshing.

And dinner was delicious.

Andrea Ross was diagnosed with breast cancer October 6, 2009 and intends to survive and thrive. You can read more from Andrea here.

Ha! And to think I was initially sceptical when you told me there’s an Arrested Development quote for every life situation. The banana one is so perfect! I’m so glad you can now be in and about instead of just out and about and are enjoying the simple routines of daily life that we all take for granted.

It's crazy how much I miss that. The simple act of shopping. And my poor husband. He just hates the grocery store so much. He just keeps telling me that he can't wait till I'm better. My name is Sharon. I have been following your blog since shortly after I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December, 2009. You have been an inspriation to me. I had and still have so much fear and anxiety, but reading your blog every day has really helped me. Thank you so much. I will keep following as long as you keep posting. Take care.

I now believe there may be several AD quotes for each life situation — unlike real life, though, on the blog I'm forced to choose just one!

I'm looking forward to getting back to one of my favourite routines, my weekly evening out with you. Starting tonight, with our delicious celebratory dinner!

Thank you for everything you've done to help me along this healing journey, Jay. I'm hoping I never have a chance to repay you.
