For Better or For Worse: Summer Fun

Just a few days ago, dad taught us how to play euchre and we’re having a blast playing family games in the evenings. We’ve played Rat-a-tat-cat, Ruckus,Life and many more great games! We’re having a great summer! Bayla and I are getting along very well. We went to a family reunion in Kingston on Sunday and we had a great time! So far I give our summer five stars!

WOW! That sounds like sooo much fun. I hope you enjoy yourself. Ummmm… well I don’t know how to say this but can I ask you for some advce? I hope you said yes because here it goes. I am a a daughter of a breast cancer survivor. My mom just had a tough surgery and well maybe you could give me some advice on how to cheer her up. I am only 14 but I do a lot to help her and I’m just not saying that, I mean i try to cook and I try to keep the house clean but even though she says that i do too much for her i feel like i can do something else to cheer her up. Got any ideas?rnSincerely, Caring Daughter (C.D)

That's a great euchre hand you have there, looks like a loner to me. It was so great to meet you and Bayla, you are both such beautiful and sweet girls!! Hopefully we'll see you before then but I'm really looking forward to next summer's reunion. xoxo

Euchre is great fun, isn't it. I am glad you are having a five star summer. It is nice to have mom home, isn't it? I knew your mom when she was 19. Your smile looks a lot like hers.

I am sorry you are dealing with this cancer. You have a great family, and it sounds like you are being the best support for your mom. Zootherapy is really good, too. I am glad you have Phaedra.

I live in Calgary, where your dad was. It is beautiful here and we have great mountains nearby.

    Keep having your summer fun!
