Happiness Is…

Mosaika

We trekked up to Parliament Hill last night to take in this year’s Sound and Light show.

Was I ever glad we did.

What an outrageously awe-inspiring feast of creativity, culture, history and high tech wizardry.

If you are in Ottawa this summer, go.

It’s free. It’s on every night ’til September 12. And it’ll make your spirit soar.

We’ll be there as often as my chemo’d foot will take me.

It's good to see you enjoying the Summer. I love that light show, that is so neat eh?

Thanks for the reminder that we have to do these things now and for me to stop putting off doing these things with our family because I always think I will be able to do it sometime next week. I can’t wait to see it!

  • Isabelle, Andree.

Ya. The show is usually worth the trek to the hill — but this year's show blows every other year away completely. No comparison.

I hope to do it often

Looks wonderful. An advantage of living in the nation's capital. A good reminder to 'be a tourist at home'. Every time we go to the mountains I tell my daughter that people come from all over the world to see them (she rolls her eyes and mimics me – but then I hear her tell her friends that.)

Here's to accelerated healing of the chemo'd foot.

  • Thanks so much for the recommendation. I've often wondered about the show, I've seen it as I've driven to and from other events…so my only remaining question is what would a 2.5yo think of it other than 'why am I up past my bedtime?'

  • You'll have to let us know after you go.

  • Haven't gone yet, but it appears I've cursed myself…I'm listening to her tromp around in her room at 9:45, seems she doesn't know when her bedtime is. *g*
