I’m extremely grateful to be alive and healthy.
But boy are things frustrating me this week.
Finances. Time pressures. And a whole slew of thorn-in-my-side people.
Calgon take me away.
How dare you not be an inspiration 24/7/365 and uplift me? God, some people. It’s almost as if you have a right to feel tired & frustrated sometimes. Courage. Things will go on.
I feel guilty when I feel the old pre-c frustration even though I am actually very thrilled to be alive and healthy. Then it goes vicious circle. Maybe you can relate.n
When I’m afraid that something is too good to be true I hold back. That part of me is very strong and very stubborn, and I have yet to convince myself it’s entirely wrong. However, it doesn’t need the stress of being in charge of the important stuff, so I try to feed it little accomplishments like singing in the shower or warm muffins eaten while sitting on a park bench at dawn.nnJust sayin’ – you don’t have to be good at the big stuff all the time.

Hang in there. I am so cheering you up tonight! And in the meantime, don’t beat yourself up. You’re allowed to feel your feelings without any guilt attached.
Hugs. I guess cancer survival does not turn you into a saint. Darn. Life still has its ups and downs. This too shall pass (and return, and pass again . . . ). Love you.
Thank you, Elizabeth.nnI took your advice and treated myself to a delicious Wild Oat muffin — and coffee — this morning. And said no to the inner gremlins who chastise loudly when I eat anything other than veggies and protein. nnIt was delicious.nnThanks!
